There is step-free access into The British Engineerium car park ONLY, please note that so.sauna is only accessible via several steps in the garden beyond the car park.
Please follow the directional signage and take care on the steps - especially if you are visiting when dark.

Sorry but The British Engineerium is not allowed to welcome furry friends onto site because of Southern Water health and safety rules.

We are a suburban horsebox sauna at The British Engineerium.
We have an outdoor cold water shower, cold plunge bath and deckchairs to relax in.
There are communal waterproof tubs to store your belongings while you sauna. Please note although a sauna host will always be onsite your belongings are left at your own risk.
Please note we currently have no toilet facilities.

Sauna is your time to relax and unwind. Its a time to connect with yourself and others.
The sauna temperature fluctuates depending on the number of people using it at one time.
Mix 5-15 minute sessions in the sauna with breaks outside to cool off or use our cold water options.
We welcome arriving 10 minutes before your sauna session to change and make the most of our beautiful surroundings.
Unfortunately if you are late for your session will not be able to extend your slot.

We strongly recommend removing all jewellery before you enter the sauna. It can get very hot and feel uncomfortable on your skin.
Don’t drink alcohol before, during or after your sauna.

We always recommend booking online before you arrive. If you are feeing spontaneous we also accept walks ins: simply check availability on arrival and book online or payment in cash is also accepted.

Anyone can you the sauna.
Children must be aged 10+ and supervised by an adult with a 1:1 ratio.If you are pregnant or have heart condition we recommend seeking advice from a registered healthcare professional first.
so.saua is located on grass with step access ONLY. If you have mobility restrictions please get in touch to discuss how we can accommodate you.

We have a cold plunge bath and a cold shower on site for you to cool off outside.
Note: children are not advised to use the cold water options.

Community sauna sessions require swimwear at all times for the comfort of everyone.

We completely understand that life can get busy and plans sometimes change.
Here’s our gentle cancellation policy, designed to be as fair and flexible as possible:More than 48 hours’ notice: You’re welcome to reschedule or receive a full refund.
24–48 hours’ notice: You can reschedule or receive a 50% refund.
Less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows: We’re sorry, but we’re unable to offer a refund or reschedule at this stage.
If we ever need to cancel due to weather, maintenance, or any unforeseen circumstances, we’ll make sure you receive a full refund or an easy reschedule - whichever you prefer.
If you need to change or cancel your sauna session, please try to give us at least 48 hours’ notice so we can offer your spot to someone else. This allows us to provide you with a full refund or credit.
If something comes up within 48 hours, we completely understand -but please note that we’re unable to offer a refund in that case.
