so.sauna consent and safety agreement
Please take a moment to read this before your session.
By booking a session at so.sauna, I confirm that I’ve read, understood, and agree to the terms below. I accept full responsibility for my own (and my childrens) health, safety, belongings, and for following the guidelines provided.
I also understand that the person making the booking is responsible for sharing these rules with everyone in their group.
1. Your Safety & Acknowledging Risks
We want you to have a relaxing and enjoyable experience, but it’s important to be aware of the risks involved in using sauna, cold water options, and wet areas.
These include:
* Slippery surfaces from water, ice, snow, or mud
* Exposure to extreme heat and cold
* Contact with hot surfaces like the sauna stove
* Changes to internal body temperature, blood pressure, or circulation
* Accidental bumps or contact with other guests
Please note: All belongings are brought at your own risk. We cannot be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
By choosing to take part, you accept full responsibility for your wellbeing and understand the risks involved.
2. Using the Facilities Responsibly
To keep everyone safe and comfortable, you agree to the following:
* Always sit on a towel in the sauna and take it with you when you leave.
* Nudity is only allowed during private bookings. Outside the sauna, please remain fully covered.
* Shower before arriving (only rinse showers are available on-site).
* Avoid applying creams, oils, or lotions before or during your session unless they're specifically provided by us.
* Wear non-slip footwear (e.g., pool sliders) around wet areas.
* Move carefully inside the sauna and when using the ramp and wet area pathways.
* No alcohol, smoking, or vaping is allowed on-site. Entry may be refused without refund if guests appear intoxicated.
* Don’t lean over the sauna stove or bring your own essential oils or products.
* Children under 16 cannot use the cold water options due to insurance restrictions.
* If you notice unsafe behaviour or faulty equipment, please let a staff member know immediately.
Failure to follow these rules may result in being asked to leave without refund.
3. Health & Medical Guidelines
Before using the sauna and cold water options, I confirm that:
* I’m in good physical and mental health.
* I don’t have any medical conditions that could be affected by sauna use (e.g., heart disease, low/high blood pressure, seizure disorders, severe skin conditions, respiratory issues, etc.).
* I am not pregnant, or if I am, I’ve consulted my healthcare provider first.
* I’m not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that could affect my safety.
* If I take any regular medications (prescription or over-the-counter), I’ve spoken to a medical professional to confirm it’s safe for me to use hot/cold therapies.
so.sauna cannot accept responsibility for issues arising from any existing health conditions.
4. Children & Family Use
* Children aged 6–15 are welcome in privately booked sauna sessions only.
* There must be 1 adult for every child, and they must always be supervised.
* Children under 16 are not allowed to use the cold water options.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
We understand plans change! Here's our cancellation policy:
* More than 48 hours’ notice – Full refund or reschedule
* 24–48 hours’ notice – 50% refund or reschedule
* Less than 24 hours or no-shows – No refund or reschedule
If we need to cancel due to weather, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, we’ll offer you a full refund or reschedule.
6. Sauna Etiquette & Respecting Others
This is a shared space – please be kind and considerate.
* Respect others’ comfort and space.
* If someone is disruptive, a polite word is encouraged. If it continues, please speak to a staff member.
* No alcohol, smoking, or vaping on-site.
* Photography or filming is only allowed with the clear consent of everyone present.
7. Liability Waiver
By using the facilities, I accept full responsibility for my own health, safety, and belongings. I release so.sauna, its owners, staff, and affiliates from any liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur while on the premises – except in cases of gross negligence or misconduct as defined by UK law. I also agree to cover any costs or claims resulting from my actions or negligence while using the facilities.
8. Group Bookings
If making a booking on behalf of a group, I confirm that:
It is my responsibility to ensure all group members are aware of the Terms & Conditions above for safe sauna use.
9. Gift cards
* Gift cards expire 12 months from purchase. We will not refund any balance remaining and we will invalidate the card.
* Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. We do not give change or refunds on gift cards or e-gift cards.
* If you are using a Gift Card online and the total order value is less than the value of the card, any balance will remain on the card and may be applied to future purchases, provided that the card has not expired. However a Gift Card cannot be used for partial payment online.
* We reserve the right to refuse to accept a gift card which we deem to be tampered with, duplicated or which otherwise is suspected to be affected by fraud.
* We reserve the right to amend the gift card and e-gift card terms and conditions from time to time, where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so.
10. Final Agreement
By proceeding with my booking, I confirm that:
* I’ve read and understood this agreement,
* I accept the risks and responsibilities outlined,
* I agree to follow the rules for the wellbeing of myself and others.
